EQL Global raises new capital to accelerate commercial expansion
EQL Global is raising SEK 20 million (approximately $2 million) to expand its sales and marketing team, with SEK 10 million($1M) already subscribed. The ongoing round follows SEK 10 million raised earlier in 2026.
Gothenburg-based EQL Global, which develops financial data infrastructure and AI tools for banks and financial institutions, is strengthening its commercial organisation to support its next phase of growth.
The new capital will primarily fund recruitment across sales and marketing, expanding the company’s capacity to serve financial institutions and turn growing demand into long-term customer relationships.
“We have built the technology and established relationships with financial institutions. This funding will allow us to build a dedicated commercial team and bring EQL to more customers,” says Sahng Ibrahim, CEO and co-founder of EQL Global.
The ongoing round is being raised at a valuation of SEK 160 million. EQL’s existing investor base includes Jan Waage, Leif Lindahl, Magnus Morin, Patrik Hamilton, Jeffrey Haas through ID8 Invest, and Martin Tisell through Quarterback Capital.
EQL currently serves eight financial institutions, including Montrose, ALCUR Fonder, DNB Norway, Holberg Fonder and SAVR. Approximately 20 banks are testing and evaluating its services.
“Our ambition is to make financial data more accessible and affordable. Growing our commercial team is an important step in bringing that proposition to a wider market,” says Ibrahim.
